| A Thought |

My
body of works
tells the story of what it means to be human.
As
humans, we tend to band together to
forge a communal understanding of a world that remains so vast. We attempt to explain and understand an
environment so much bigger than ourselves, engaging and mysterious. From ancient times, when shamans crawled
in
the dark recesses of caves to place their mark with burnt sticks, earth
pigments, and their own vision, they declared and preserved their world
upon
the rock walls.
Even today, we too declare our visions on modern surfaces with spray cans and markers. There exists in the collective past of human kind, a singular connecting conscious entity. Thoughts or images have somehow made a leap across the great chasm of time and location to tie us, here in the now, to them, in the distant then. Our voices remain strong. |
